During intense racing conditions, Tuthill Porsche identified a problem with oil pressure surging to dangerous levels (as high as 6 bar) that exceeded the capabilities of standard parts. To address this, we collaborated to create this new unit, rigorously tested to handle pressures exceeding 7 bar.

Manufacture

This performance oil cooler is manufactured from a combination of aerospace and automotive grade aluminium, here in the UK by us at Serck Motorsport. This is developed as a direct replacement for Porsche 911 2.0L H6 models from 1965 to 1969 (but will fit later 2.0L models with a minor oil pipe modification), offering improved flow rates, leading to enhanced performance and power over longer periods. It is CNC machined and hand crafted in-house to the highest standards using a Serck-specific original design to enhance flow and temperature dissipation rates via a 16 fins-per-inch core specification. This is highly efficient in performance and cooling rates due to its fine fin pitch. The gas flowed, flared ports, tank design and core specifications make a very popular oil cooler for the Mark 1 Porsche 911s
