MSD Distributor, Ford 351W, w/Dual Pickup

For demanding Ford racing applications, MSD’s Pro-Billet Dual Pick-Up Distributors are the answer. Each distributor features a billet housing that is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum using computer controlled CNC machining technology.

Additional features include a fully adjustable mechanical advance consisting of a hardened advance cam, chromoly weights and weight pins that are TIG-welded to the advance plate. The advance assembly can also be locked-out with no welding.

Two high output magnetic trigger pick-ups are bolted to the billet base of the distributor so you can have a secondary ignition trigger source for a backup ignition and coil.

Dual magnetic pickups are placed 180° apart to provide a complete redundant ignition system for racing applications
Must be used with an MSD 6, 7, 8, or 10 Series Ignition
Supplied with Cap-A-Dapt distributor cap and rotor
Steel shaft is QPQ coated and guided by a sealed ball bearing
CNC machined billet aluminum housing and billet aluminum base
Mechanical advance assembly can be locked out for crank trigger systems
Nylon pads ensure smooth operation of the advance weights
Advance weight pins are staked and tig welded to the plate
Advance plate and weights are fine blanked from chrome moly steel and QPQ coated for friction reduction
Easy-to-adjust mechanical advance with supplied springs and stop bushings
